Annual Meetings of The Cabell Family Society, Inc.

As a Virginia Corporation, The Cabell Family Society holds annual meetings at sites of special significance in Cabell history. In the past 35 years, popular sites have included:

The 66th Annual Meeting of the Society

The 66th Annual Meeting of the Society was held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, Virginia.  Kathy Terlesky, the Society’s Genealogist, was our featured speaker. Two presentations were given. The first on the Impact of the Civil War on the Cabell Family (see the talk on YouTube here), and a second talk on the progress to document names of the enslaved persons of Union Hill ( see the talk on YouTube here)

The 67th Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 and we will be back in Nelson County. Details will be in available in the June & September 2024 newsletters.
